Buildbase boys battle hard at Snetterton.
The Buildbase Kawasaki riders battled hard through a tough weekend at Snetterton circuit.
John Laverty, looking to maintain his top six championship position, entered the 3 race weekend in a confident frame of mind. A strong qualifying performance put John into qualifying 3 and 10th place. Race 1 on Saturday evening saw John battling with a freight train of riders for a top seven placing; however a few setup problems forced John to bring the bike home in 12th place. Race 2 and with a lot of hard work done throughout the night by the team John was again involved in a 5 rider battle and took 10th place at the finish.
Unfortunately this was not the position desired but John was much happier with the setting and positive about race 3, as were the team who were certain of an improved result. John rose to the challenge with a fine ride coming home in 5th place and maintaining the all important 6th place in the series.
Adam Jenkinson came to Snetterton hoping to regain his early season form after difficult rounds at Mallory Park and Knockhill. In race 1 Adam started in 21st due to the Knockhill re-run but went on to set his fastest lap of the weekend and 19th position. In race 2 Adam was pushing hard, but sadly a small crash at the Esses bought his race to a premature end. Race 3 and a solid performance saw Adam bring his machine home in 16th place. With this race under his belt Adam will look to build upon these results at Brands Hatch and strive towards top ten results. |

Barry Burrell was looking to move forward with his strong run of form in the Superstock 1000 series. Barry made an excellent start only for his race to be ended at the first corner when two unpiloted bikes hit Barry forcing him to crash out of the race. Lee Jackson made a great start before the red flags were brought out following the aforementioned crash. The restart saw Lee make a slower start and had to battle his way through to take 14th at the finish.
Matt Bilton took two strong finished with a 9th and 14th place in Superstock 600. Matt will now focus on Brands Hatch where he hopes to move higher up in the standings from his current 4th place.
